This answers Rhapsodizer worries posted in Problem nº 721: "This website must be in English"
Dear Rhapsodizer:
Thanks for posting your problem at ideas4all!
The Ideas4all website is multilingual, which means you can select the languages in which you see content, also the language in which you see the webpage. And English is one of the languages you can choose.
When you enter ideas4all for the first time, ideas and problems, and the entire website, are seen in the language of the Internet browser you are using. If you have installed Firefox or Explorer in their English version, ideas4all will appear in English; if you have installed Firefox or Explorer in their Spanish version, ideas4all will appear in Spanish.
You can change the language of the website: you only have to click on the flag in the upper right corner of the home page, and choose the language you want to filter. English is one of the options.
You can also change the language in which you see ideas and problems. To see ideas and problems in a language of your choice, click on the flag on the upper right corner of the home page, and choose the language to filter the contents. You may choose between 1 to 3 languages, or just see the content in all languages. Please bear in mind that when filtering the searches by language, the rankings will be affected. This is: you will only see ideas in the chosen language(s). Everything will be filtered, except for the “Map of ideas”. Ideas in any language will appear.
Also, each idea offers you the Google Translator (on the top right), that allows you to translate the content to a large number of languages. This translation has some limitations, and sometimes it can be somehow inaccurate, but at least it provides a general feel of the content.
And of course, ideators can post ideas in any language they want. At this moment, most ideas are in Spanish or English, which is the choice ideators have made so far.
I hope this helps! Thanks for sharing!
